A MATTER OF TIME.

A MATTER OF TIME.

Why is today just another figment of my memory
Coming like the morning mist to haunt my every hour
Is it that the destiny we seek is set to pull us down
Are we trapped inside this travesty awaiting the final hour.

Well its not the sight that I can feel
Nor is it just a hopeless cry
Its more, runs deeper, much deeper than before
Its out there, waiting, biding its time.

You say its all a nightmare lost in signs
Too late to take the sleep again, its gone and that’s for sure
But why cant eyes and heart and mind
Beset the gates of a hell self-created.

I’ll tell you why its time at last
No more waiting relinquishing the tool
We are born as one, as one we fight
And so to die as one our plight.

Yet wait, beseech the cry without
Hold hand the extant memory of old
To break our spell reach out and touch
The synergy we seek.

And so that man of old, was wise
I reach his words and heard them call
He said with trembling alter ego
Its never here but only a matter of time.

Within us all lies fragrant paths
To give, to love never be there an end
Now turn to smile at hope beside you
I did and was never the same again.

The rejoinder is I am the fool
Jester, token talisman of wry
Here and all the mothers weep
We are just a step too far.
